Archives 101: A Crash Course in Fearless Research

What exactly is an archive? And how do I do research in one? This workshop, led by archivists from New Mexico State University's Archives and Special Collections, will be the first in a series of presentations and workshops about archives with our partners at the Branigan Library. With a focus on southern New Mexico's unique history, this first hour-long presentation will introduce what archives are and how you can research and engage with them.

From here, subsequent longer workshops will walk participants through taking care of their own family and local history so that it is preserved for future generations.
