The discussion and listening session will focus on the cultural impact of various artists from Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Billy Dee Williams, the Wu-Tan Clan, Dave Chappelle, and more.
The book’s title comes from words spoken by singer Josephine Baker at the 1963 March on Washington. Baker, who lived and performed in France for most of her career said, "I was a devil in other countries, and I was a little devil in America, too… But I could not walk into a hotel in America and get a cup of coffee, and that made me mad. And when I get mad, you know that I open my big mouth. And then look out, ’cause when Josephine opens her mouth, they hear it all over the world.”
Physical books are availiable at the reference desk of the main library.
